ShadowBox Theatre Company, a 501(c) 3 organization for children with Autism, is very pleased to announce Marketplace at Birdcage as the new venue for our annual fund raiser — The Scream Extreme Presents: STiTCHES Haunted Attraction! Open October 12 – 31, 2007, this fund raising event supports The Gift of Hope Sponsorship, our unique extracurricular activity program that funds field trips and social outings for children with Autism.The Scream Extreme is located in the former RoomSource building in conjunction with Halloween Express Store, the best seasonal Halloween retailer. Infesting over 15,000 square feet of space, we’re boasting three times the scares with three different scare zones: Dank, Dark and The Treatment! On October 20th, we will also sponsor a special event called Kid’s Trick or Shriek. Accompanied by a paying adult, kids ages 7 – 11 will be guided FREE through a milder version of The Scream Extreme. The first 300 children to take the tour will receive trick or treat candy donated by Halloween Express Store. Continuing with community fun for children, a ‘Trunk or Treat’ event, sponsored by the Citrus Heights Police Depatrment will take place in The Scream Extreme parking lot October 27th. Popular local bands will be there for entertainment. We’re declaring 2007 to be “The Year of the Child” and Shadowbox Theatre Company, along with The Scream Extreme are putting scary community fun back into Halloween!
