Happy Birthday Steve-O. Stephen Edwin King (born September 21, 1947) is the American author of over 200 stories including over 50 bestselling horror and fantasy novels. Not bad for a former coke freak who once as a child wiped his arse with Poison Ivy. Everybody has had a nightmare or two they can attribute to some dark vision from the pages of a King story. The Poison Ivy one from “On Writing” was mine. Shudder. I bet even Amazon Indians who can’t read still might just get the sweats thinking about rabid St. Bernard’s or cars that have minds of their own and regenerate after they run someone over. Glad you’re in the world, and good to see you keep churning it out even though you said you retired years ago.
